Sample 3D Printed Bra Cup
Here I explore using 3 filaments on my Prusa MK3s+. Furthermore, texture is investigated to develop realistic embroidered lace and mesh.
Textured Mesh & Lace 3D Printed Bra
Upclose view of the 3D-embroidered two-toned design on the bra cup. Yellow thread used to close seams.

Textured Mesh & Lace 3D Printed Bra
3D-printed embroidered mesh full-cup wire-free bra. Bra is entirely 3D-printed including all notions.
3-toned 3D Printed Lace Bra
Inside view showcasing the 3D-printed bra underwire (PLA) and a transparent (TPU) filament lining.
3-toned 3D Printed Lace Bra
Side view of a 3D-printed bra demonstrating a nylon wire hand seam.
3-toned 3D Printed Lace Bra
Strapless underwire and boned (PLA) 3D-printed bra. Floral (orange and gold) pattern is satin-textured on a grid ground.
Organic Lace 3D Printed Bra

Organic Lace 3D Printed Bra
Wire-free full-cup 3D-printed white organic lace bra with gold picot trim. Bra is entirely 3D printed including notions.
3D Printed Knickers
Exploration of 3D-printed knickers using flexible and stretch TPE filament. Extra grading is necessary as the filament will break with too much stretching. The glued seam closure also breaks; therefore, closure investigation is necessary.

Hand embroidery & Hardware
Developing the sample layout using conductive thread and chain stitch.
TPU on nylon mesh
Exploring TPU on nylon open mesh. Unfortunately the heat required for the filament would burn the mesh periodically ☹️.
TPU on mesh
TPU filament produces a slight shine resulting in a plastic aesthetic.
TPE on mesh
Testing on fabric for a softer feel. Print at 2mm on mesh is more malleable and closer to a traditional lingerie feel.
TPE print w/out fabric
Examining the aesthetic and feel of print at 4mm.
Testing Connections
Testing the DC/DC converter hook up.
Testing Layout
1st experiment learning how the materials interact together.
Hand 3D Work
Patience and focus to develop the design. Testing using TPE, TPU and PLA.
PLA Placement
Placement for aesthetic deliberation. Next moving on to TPU & TPE on fabric.
