Here I explore using 3 filaments on my Prusa MK3s+. Furthermore, texture is investigated to develop realistic embroidered lace and mesh.

Hand embroidery & Hardware

Developing the sample layout using conductive thread and chain stitch.

TPU on nylon mesh

Exploring TPU on nylon open mesh. Unfortunately the heat required for the filament would burn the mesh periodically ☹️.

TPU filament produces a slight shine resulting in a plastic aesthetic.

Testing on fabric for a softer feel. Print at 2mm on mesh is more malleable and closer to a traditional lingerie feel.
